Our Custom Jewelry Process

1. Consultation
   Share your story, inspiration, budget, timeline, preferred materials, and design goals by phone, email, text, video call, or private appointment when available.
2. Concept Direction
   We review your ideas and help shape the project direction, including style, size, metal, stones, and overall design approach.
3. Design & Estimate
   Based on the project, we may provide design guidance, pricing direction, CAD concepts, stone options, or a formal quote before production begins.
4. Approval & Deposit
   Once the design, materials, pricing, and production details are approved, a deposit is required to begin the custom process.
5. Production
   Your piece moves into production, which may include CAD work, casting, stone setting, finishing, polishing, and final detailing. Most custom projects take approximately 1–4 weeks, depending on complexity and material availability.
6. Final Review
   Before delivery, the completed piece is reviewed for craftsmanship, stone setting, finishing, and overall presentation.
7. Final Payment & Delivery
   Once the piece is complete, the remaining balance is due before delivery or shipment. Shipping arrangements are confirmed based on item value, destination, insurance needs, and security requirements.

Payment & Production Expectations

Custom jewelry requires a deposit before production begins. Deposit amount may vary depending on the project, materials, stones, sourcing needs, and production requirements.

Once production has begun, custom jewelry orders cannot be cancelled, returned, exchanged, or refunded. Custom pieces are made specifically for each client based on selected materials, dimensions, stones, design details, and budget.

Final payment is due upon completion before delivery or shipment. If a completed custom piece remains unpaid after 30 days, additional storage, restocking, or administrative fees may apply. If a completed piece remains unpaid for an extended period, Speak Easy Co reserves the right to retain the deposit and final product to help cover materials, labor, sourcing, and production costs.

Any special payment terms must be confirmed in writing before production begins.

Appraisals & Documentation

When applicable, Speak Easy Co may provide appraisal support, documentation, or third-party appraisal options for insurance purposes.

Appraisal availability may depend on the item type, materials, stones, certification, project value, and documentation needs. Insurance approval and coverage are ultimately determined by the insurance provider.

Natural & Lab-Grown Diamonds

We offer both natural and lab-grown diamonds depending on the project and client preference.

For clients seeking certified diamonds, we can help source options such as GIA-certified natural diamonds, GIA-certified lab-grown diamonds, GCAL 8X diamonds, and other suitable stones based on the project goals. We are happy to explain the differences so you can make an informed decision.
